My name is Ricardo Rocha and I’m 22 years old. I’m from Ponte de Lima 🇵🇹 and I’m currently living in Zurich 🇨🇭

I am passionate about making processes work better, from everyday routines to complex systems. I am always looking for smarter ways of solving problems and love learning from that journey.

Currently, I’m doing an internship on the Operations Research & Air Traffic Magament team at SWISS, where I get to apply my passion for improving operations in aviation. Alongside that, I’m pursuing a MSc in Aerospace Engineering (Operations and Environment) at TU Delft 🇳🇱

Outside of aviation, I try to keep life simple and enjoy the little things, whether it’s a random chat on the bus, a walk around the neighbourhood, or drinks with friends. I usually say that “life is as simple as you want it to be,” and I try to live by that. I value balance between mental and physical well-being, and I try to live that through everyday choices. Reading helps me reflect on life from a more philosophical angle, music gives me energy and joy (from techno and electronic to Beyoncé or Ariana), and fitness keeps me grounded both physically and mentally.
